I just wanted to take a few minutes (finally) and tell you how often I think about you. It is several times a day!
In the morning when I am drinking that early, first cup of water before I even go downstairs, and throughout the day as I try to be mindful of my eating and make good choices, and when I am eating various foods you have introduced me to (or reintroduced me to), or when I make time to read (as you helped me see, something that nurtures me and makes me feel good). Wow! You really have made an impact on my life, huh? And [my husband] continues with the daily smoothies, both at home and at work. The amount of fruit we buy now is incredible! And veggies as well. A few nights ago, when he was out of town, I had a huge bowl of broccoli with salt, pepper and butter, for dinner. That's all I wanted, and I went to bed early (was very tired). And something else -- I didn't eat ANY Halloween candy. I can't believe it! I think what helped was that a little before, I tried one of those mini Krackle bars, and I just didn't like it. I do still like the dark chocolate, but that is definitely not Halloween candy. I am in a good place, and doing well. I am trying to keep fit at the gym…and I feel loads better! Now, eating papaya with lime juice is a craving/dessert for me. And I let myself enjoy it! Also, I had my checkup and recently got my latest cholesterol numbers. They are improved.. My total number dropped from 226 to 210, my triglicerides <#> dropped from 111 to 66. My dad was amazed that I'd done that without medicine!....I have been wanting to check in with you for a while now, and finally got a good moment. I learned so much from you and am constantly using the knowledge! Although I still have that tendency to turn to food during difficult times, I feel I have a much better grasp on how to handle that and what to do when/if it happens. I love getting your emails and newsletters and reading your articles, etc. Overall, a HUGE thank you to you! :-)
