First I want to say how much I'm enjoying the class - I will miss it when it's over!  Really!!!  I would not have expected it to have as much of an impact on me as it has.  I'm happy to tell you more details but in short, the #1 thing for me (which is exactly what I was after) is that I am way more intentional about my eating.  Making nutritious choices, making me more of a priority, and when I eat something I know is not so nutritious, or eat when I don't need to, too much, etc I'm aware of it but definitely not beating myself up.  Just noticing.  And hopefully making better choices next time.

What a wonderful experience we had at the retreat! I am thrilled about trying the various healthy foods and the introductions to many organic ones that I have learned. Wow, it really is an eye opener to many new things, especially about the how it doesn’t benefit that much by eating low carb and low fat food in order to stay healthy. Now, I don’t have to spend much money or time to find such foods. I can’t emphasize on the quality time that we spend together was just phenomenal. It helped [my daughter] and me to get our relationship further stronger and we discovered new things about each other. She is very excited about our next retreat and started planning already. I just want to highlight on some of the aspects that I absolutely loved about the retreat.
- We have not once talked about diet. That thought did not cross my mind the whole weekend.
- There was no discussion on law fat, low carb foods or diet food. - Deeper discussion things that was important to us. Seeing my daughter open to lot of group exercise and having fun with it.
- I learned how what we eat and how we feel are connected.
- I felt like you have selected the best mom and kids group and it is a great addition to the retreat and hope you will continue to have positive people who are willing to participate and encourage others to do so.

Overall, I had the best time with you and the rest of the team and we are looking forward to seeing you next year. Thanks for making this a memorable weekend for us!

I just wanted to thank you for always providing such wonderful and useful calls, tips, emails, etc.  I have been trying to find time to listen to this call, and just haven't. Tonight, [my daughter] had a complete meltdown about how her "best friend" was treating her at school -- she told her her hair was ugly, she won't sit next to her on the carpet anymore, etc. I felt so sorry for her, and it was really the first time something like this has happened to her, or at least has really affected her. So tonight I made the time to listen to this call, and it was amazingly helpful.

I just wanted to take a few minutes (finally) and tell you how often I think about you. It is several times a day!


In the morning when I am drinking that early, first cup of water before I even go downstairs, and throughout the day as I try to be mindful of my eating and make good choices, and when I am eating various foods you have introduced me to (or reintroduced me to), or when I make time to read (as you helped me see, something that nurtures me and makes me feel good). Wow! You really have made an impact on my life, huh? And [my husband] continues with the daily smoothies, both at home and at work. The amount of fruit we buy now is incredible! And veggies as well. A few nights ago, when he was out of town, I had a huge bowl of broccoli with salt, pepper and butter, for dinner. That's all I wanted, and I went to bed early (was very tired). And something else -- I didn't eat ANY Halloween candy. I can't believe it! I think what helped was that a little before, I tried one of those mini Krackle bars, and I just didn't like it. I do still like the dark chocolate, but that is definitely not Halloween candy.  I am in a good place, and doing well. I am trying to keep fit at the gym…and I feel loads better! Now, eating papaya with lime juice is a craving/dessert for me. And I let myself enjoy it! Also, I had my checkup and recently got my latest cholesterol numbers. They are improved.. My total number dropped from 226 to 210, my triglicerides <#>  dropped from 111 to 66. My dad was amazed that I'd done that without medicine!....I have been wanting to check in with you for a while now, and finally got a good moment. I learned so much from you and am constantly using the knowledge! Although I still have that tendency to turn to food during difficult times, I feel I have a much better grasp on how to handle that and what to do when/if it happens. I love getting your emails and newsletters and reading your articles, etc. Overall, a HUGE thank you to you! :-)
